GRANNIE'S FUNERAL

Dorothy "Grannie" Farr passed away on March 5 from old age.  She is Mike's paternal grandmother and has been widowed for almost 30 years.  We are all sad for her passing and will miss her, but we know that she is in a better, happier place.  The funeral was held in Holbrook, AZ which is about 3 hours from Mesa.  The services were very positive and uplifting.  We enjoyed time with family.  We are so grateful for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ that teaches about the afterlife.  Through the gospel we know that we are sealed to her for eternity and that we will see her again.  What a peace that brings in a time of loss!

WORLD, HERE WE COME

Now that Alex is a month old we can start taking her more public places.  Today was her first day at church, and she was perfect.  I fed her right before leaving.  She slept all the way to church and all through Sunday School.  Mike took her during priesthood.  She was awake and a little fussy at the start of Sacrament Meeting so after the sacrament I took her to the mother's lounge and fed her.  After we got home she took a 2 hour nap.  I was so glad the day went smoothly.

All ready for her first day at church

Here are some more photos of her at a month old.
