Since I am so sick and with Mike's busy schedule with quarter end, we asked my mom to come out for a couple of weeks to help. She was a big help in taking care of the kids and being another set of hands so that I could rest. We also benefited in having her here over General Conference weekend and she made cinnamon rolls. She also made a fun Conference trail mix for the kids. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures with her.

SICK PROFESSOR
One blessing of the pandemic is being able to lecture from home. I have been so sick that there is no way I could have lectured in person. Fortunately I am able to lecture while lying down. When it came time for class I took my blanket and computer to my room and held class from my bed. My camera was off so no one knew.
ANOTHER BABY!
We are excited to announce that we have another baby on the way! Seeing me sick, Alex thinks/hopes I'm pregnant. Somethings you just can't hide. I'm more sick with this pregnancy than any of my previous ones. In a month I lost 20 pounds and had to get IV fluid twice because I was so dehydrated. I'm already counting down the days.

BIG BIKE RIDE
For a daddy daughter date Mike took Alex on a bike ride. They took a bike path that goes for miles. Mike let Alex lead and as long as she wanted to they kept going. They ended up riding for about 25 miles! They came home sore but with smiles on their faces.

TOOTH DRAMA
Despite having lost several teeth, Alex is still scared of pulling her loose tooth. We use floss to pull it out quickly and painlessly, but you can see that she is still nervous about the whole situation.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
School this year is going to be virtual due to the pandemic. The teachers give the kids assignments to complete on their own each week. They also have some live classes with their teachers. Each day they also have a class with P.E., music, library, or art. Alex and Shane have a good attitude and are diligent in getting their work done. They are good at working independently. Maggie is also good at playing by herself while the kids are in class or working on homework. The first couple of weeks were tricky trying to get a schedule down, but then things ran smoothly. We of course celebrated the first day with the traditional cookies.

DOLL HOUSE
We told Alex on her birthday that we would build her a huge doll/barbie house. We said she could choose paper for the walls. Seven months later we delivered. Mike did the frame work and I did the painting and finishing. It is very big but very strong. The kids can even climb on it. It should last for many years.
