REFINISHING THE BASEMENT STAIRS

After finishing the basement the stairs didn't look right.  After the new year I decided to refinish the stairs.  It was pretty sketchy for awhile trying to go up and down the stairs with no treads.  I must say they turned out pretty good if I do say so myself and I'm proud of what I was able to do.

MCKENZIE IS 9 MONTHS

Trying to take 9 month pictures is so hard!  They are on the move and have their own agenda.  This time was particularly hard because it was so cold.  Even bundled up, McKenzie only cried whenever we went outside for pictures.  It is also a month with no sun, only overcast sky every day.  Being indoors there isn't much light.  I tried several times and these are the best pictures I could get.  We love McKenzie so much.  I just wish I could do a better job at capturing her personality on camera.

FIRST SNOW

McKenzie wasn't too excited about her first time in the snow.  The older kids, on the other hand, loved playing in it.

MCKENZIE CLAPS

McKenzie has started clapping so I just had to show a video.  The kids love helping her clap.

MCKENZIE STARTS TO CRAWL

McKenzie is on the move!  She decided that if she wanted to investigate everything she better learn to move around.  She does not stay in one place very long.  We now have to barricade the stairs and other areas where we don't want her to go.
