CONEJO

Alex is getting a lot more expressive.  She gets really excited when she plays with anything soft - stuffed animals or toys, pillows, blankets, etc.

ALEX AT 6 MONTHS

Here are some pictures from her 6 month photo shoot.  She didn't smile much and was more interested in the props than anything.  Although I was a little disappointed that we didn't get many pictures with her cute smile and dimples, these pictures show her true personality.

ALEX'S FIRST FLIGHT

Alex and I went to visit my sister Debbie in Madison, WI.  Mike came later, so I had to take care of Alex by myself on her first flight.  I was a little nervous since I didn't know how she would react and it was a 4 hour flight.  She did great!  She slept most of the time and only cried for a few minutes before drifting off to sleep.

ARIZONA SUMMER

I needed to go to the store to just pick up one thing.  The store is about half a mile away so I decided to walk.  It took me about half an hour, including my time in the store, and I had the stroller cover over Alex the whole time.  When we got home, however, her cheeks were rosy and she was sweaty.  I guess it's still too hot to be outside much.  Even though she was so hot, Alex was as content as can be and did not fuss at all.  What a good baby!

SOLIDS

Now that Alex is 6 months it is time to start weaning to solid foods.  She doesn't like solid foods very much.  I give her a wide variety of fruits and vegetables but she usually ends up playing with it more than eating it.  Here are her first expressions with solid foods.

It's no surprise that Alex looks just like her Daddy.

Unfortunately, she got the long and lean, gangly body (complete with long arms and legs) from me.  She is in the 90th percentile for height and the 25th percentile for weight and has been all along.

I'm pretty sure those are supposed to be LONG sleeves, not 3/4 length sleeves

At least we live in AZ where we can wear shorts 9 months of the year!
