HALLOWEEN

Halloween was cold and rainy as always.  I got some plastic pumpkins for the kids to paint instead of carving one.  We went to a trunk-or-treat with our branch/ward unit a few days before.  On Halloween, I made a "yucky" dinner.  The kids helped wrap the mummy dogs.  I also made some bread stick fingers.  The kids loved it!  After dinner we went trick-or-treating to several houses in our neighborhood.  We got way too much candy but the kids had a lot of fun.  Alex went as Hermione Granger, Shane was the Ninja Turtle Leonardo, and Maggie was a princess.  McKenzie didn't dress up, but I just had to get a picture of her since she is so cute!

MCKENZIE IS 6 MONTHS

Six months is such a fun age.  They are getting more of a personality.  Food is introduced and babies get more mobile.  McKenzie will roll but she is content to stay where she is, which I am grateful for.  She isn't a big fan of solid foods yet, but it seems to take babies a bit to get used to and like food.  McKenzie started to lose a lot of her hair, which makes me sad.  I just hope it grows back a dark brown like before.

NUTTY SHANE

While playing outside, Shane found a bunch of walnuts.  Like a squirrel he filled all his pockets.  Since he had some pockets on his shirt it was quite a funny scene.

ALEX ICE SKATES

Alex picked ice skating this year.  She did it a couple years ago and didn't really like it so I was surprised when she wanted to try it again.  She did really well and improved quite a bit over the course of the classes.

LIFE GETS DIRTY

Another project in the books.  Since our oven was broken we bought a new oven/stove.  It was gas instead of electric so Mike had to run an electrical wire and install an outlet behind the unit.  I patched, sanded, and painted the wall once he was done.  I hung a sheet to help control the dust.  Even with a mask and glasses, I still got very dirty.  It was all worth it to have such a great new oven and stove!
