NEW YEAR'S EVE

The kids begged us this year to let them stay up until midnight.  We spent the evening playing games and watching movies.  We also had yummy food.  As always, we let the kids bang pots and pans at midnight to celebrate.  McKenzie didn't get to celebrate since she was in bed so I got a picture with her later.

CHRISTMAS

Christmas is always a very special time of year.  With the lift of many Covid restrictions we were able to have a branch Christmas program.  On Dec 23 we went to a neighborhood with TONS of Christmas lights.  It was so fun to drive around for awhile and look at all the pretty lights.  That night the kids slept on the couches and floor next to the tree and in front of the fire.  On Christmas Eve Mike and I worked most of the day to get the basement finished.  We created a fun play space complete with Lego table, jungle gym, monkey bars, and hammock chair.  Our dinner was the traditional surf and turf with crab claws and steak.  It was delicious and the kids had fun playing with the claws and making them move.  Christmas day we opened presents, ate food, played games, and watched movies.  The kids got chopsticks in their stockings and had fun eating with them.

LAUNDRY DAY

Some days you really need to get laundry done, but your baby wants you to hold her.  This is what you end up doing.

MIKE'S BIRTHDAY

One year older and wiser too.  We love Mike and it's nice to have an excuse to celebrate him in our lives.
