BIG BOY SHANE

Shane has been proving himself to be a big boy lately.  This includes potty training and doing things that are labeled for kids ages 3+.  He did this puzzle, labeled 3+, all by himself.  He will not be left behind and does everything his sister does, that is for sure.

WOMEN'S CONFERENCE

Usually our ward or stake will do a dinner or light refreshment before the General Women's Conference.  This year our ward did a dinner, and I was so excited that my friend Morgan would join me.  She is not a member of our church but she enjoyed the messages shared in the conference.  Good food, good company, good messages, good evening!

GLOBASE GUATEMALA ROUND 2

Mike did Globase for the second year but this year he was on the leadership team.  He coached the teams with their projects and helped plan the trip to Guatemala.  He enjoyed the scenery and is secretly making a list of places he wants to come back to with his family (I won't complain).  We enjoyed the spoils that he brought back for us.

 

ARIZONA TRIP

Kammi decided she was ready to receive her endowments.  The kids and I took a trip to Arizona for a week.  Mike was still in Guatemala so he was not able to come.  The weather was in the 90's and we enjoyed thawing from the cold Mid West weather.  The kids enjoyed gathering lemons, grapefruit, and oranges from Mimi and Papa's trees.  We also played with cousins, roasted marshmallows, and played with the many toys.  When we got back to Indiana the kids didn't understand why they couldn't wear flip flops and shorts anymore.

 

MADISON TRIP

While Mike was in Guatemala my mom, the kids, and I drove up to Madison, WI to spend a few days with the Salts.  While there I helped Debbie build a few things.  We built a washer/dryer riser and put together a vanity and mirror for their new bathroom.  We also enjoyed girl time and talking.  It was too cold to spend much time outside but the kids loved playing together inside.

KRISTIN'S BIRTHDAY

This year Mike left on my birthday to go to Guatemala.  We tried to celebrate the day before but Mike was busy getting ready for his trip.  He still managed to make me a yummy dinner and cake as requested.  Luckily, my mom flew in that afternoon and took me and the kids out to a birthday dinner.  I enjoyed just relaxing that day until going to the airport to pick up my mom.  After dinner we enjoyed cake and ice cream for the second day.
