FUN AT COLUMBUS COMMONS

 There was another fun kid day at the Columbus Commons.  This time the kids behaved and we could all go.  We all had so much fun playing with the toys, getting face/arm paintings, doing the obstacle course, etc.

MAGGIE'S HAIR IN RAGS

 Maggie has wavy and curly hair, but she wanted to tie her hair in rags to get it really curly.  Mike tied her hair one night and she slept on it.  In the morning when we removed the rags her hair was really curly!  She loved it.

MCKENZIE AND MOMMY'S DAY OUT

 There was a free even downtown at the Columbus Commons.  There were a bunch of activities and games for kids.  Alex, Shane, and Maggie were misbehaving so I decided to just take McKenzie (and Bridget of course).  It was really nice to have a day out with McKenzie and give her some one-on-one time.  We had a blast and McKenzie made sure to tell the other kids all about it when we got home.

GIRL DAY BOY DAY

 Our friends, the Skousens, have 3 boys and 1 girl, the opposite of us.  We decided to have a day where their girl, Lucy, came to our house and Shane went to their house.  Lucy had lots of fun doing girl things like dress up, playing with dolls and barbies, and not having to deal with boys.  Shane had a blast doing boy things and not having to deal with girls.

THE FIRST HARVEST

 Our garden is finally ready to start harvesting.  I was shocked to find several large zucchini hiding under the large leaves.  I was surprised at how many vegetables were ready to be picked!  I hope this continues and that this year is very bountiful.

COSI

 On Saturday we took Makayla to COSI.  Since we had just been not too long ago, we let Makayla choose what she wanted to do.  We had fun (as always) playing with all the hands on exhibits.

ALUM CREEK

 Friday we went to the Alum Creek lake and beach.  The kids had a lot of fun playing in the water and sand.  McKenzie was a little unsure of it all but by the end she was right there with the other kids playing in the sand.

FIREFLIES

 After the activities at church we stopped by a park to catch some fireflies.

 Thursday we went to the zoo.
