THE GRAND CANYON
In preparing to move out of state, we wanted to visit the Grand Canyon while we are still here. We decided to take a quick trip for our anniversary. The day was sunny, windy, and chilly. Alex kept insisting that we put our hoods on. She loved walking around. Shane slept through it all, but what do you expect from a 3 month old who is warm and snuggled up to his mom? The Grand Canyon was breathtaking. I am so glad we got to see it before we left.

ALEX IS 2!
Alex turned 2 years old! Man, how time flies. She had pancakes with candles for breakfast. She got to swing, feed the ducks, and play at the park. We also had family over for cake and ice cream. She loved all the attention and loved opening her presents. Her favorite gift was a doll. She loves carrying it around and taking care of it. She even wants me to swaddle it. When she has a runny nose and needs to blow it, she wants another tissue to blow the baby's nose. Alex is very helpful around the house, sometimes too helpful. She is talking and expressing herself more. We are so glad she is part of our family.

SHANE'S BLESSING
Shane was blessed today. I am so grateful that there are so many wonderful, worthy priesthood holders, especially my husband. All our family living here in the valley came and even some friends and cousins. We had a luncheon at our place after church. It was great to be able to share this time with family and friends. Luckily, Shane did not cry at all during the blessing. He is such a good baby and a blessing to our family. I am so grateful to have him as my son.
