Another tooth comes and goes. The tooth extraction method this time was throwing a large pillow, attached to his tooth, down the stairs. Ironically, the very next day the other front tooth was ready and we pulled it out the same way.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
Another school year is beginning: Alex - 3rd grade, Shane - 1st grade. The kids are excited to be all in person. They still have to wear masks all day, but the vaccine for school age children should be coming soon. I will be very relieved when they can get vaccinated.

NANNA AND BABBA VISIT
Nanna and Babba came for McKenzie's blessing. Since we didn't get much of a summer with moving, we decided to do some fun things while they were here.
One day we went to Cedar Point, a nearby amusement park. We'd heard good things about it but had never gone. It was so much fun! We happened to go a few days before our kids started school when most other school districts in the area had already started. Due to that in part, it wasn't very busy and we didn't have to wait long for the rides. The older kids were tall enough to go on most roller coasters which was a fun new experience for them. The adults took turns staying with the baby so that everyone had a chance to ride. Despite spending all day there we only got through half of the rides. We decided that we should make it a yearly tradition to go to Cedar Point.
The next day, Mike took Nanna, Babba, and the older kids to Mt Vernon to visit the Weaver furniture store. Nanna and Babba ended up buying a table while there. I kept the younger two home to avoid a long car ride and let them rest after a long day at Cedar Point. Maggie wanted a bubble bath so I made her a really big bubble bath.
The last day was Babba's birthday. We rented a jet ski and all took turns riding it around Alum Creek Lake. I don't know if the kids or the adults had more fun. Since it was Babba's birthday, I started to make his requested cake in the morning. After a few minutes of being in the oven the smoke alarm went off and there was an error on the stove. We figured out the control box was bad. It would be expensive to replace and take days to arrive. I was sad and disappointed that I couldn't make him a special cake for his birthday, but the Costco cake we bought was delicious and Babba didn't seem to mind.
The next day Nanna and Babba flew out and the kids started school. It was a great way to finish the summer.

MCKENZIE'S BLESSING
With all the moving as well as Covid restrictions we didn't bless McKenzie right away. We waited until after we moved and Mike's parents could come out. It was a very special day and a very special blessing that Mike gave McKenzie. She is such a wonderful addition to our family.

BOX FORT FUN
The best part of moving are all the boxes left over. The kids made several forts and had fun for weeks playing with the boxes.

BUMBO MCKENZIE
It's always fun when babies get big enough for the bumbo. They can sit up and look around. They like being a part of everything going on. I just had to share a couple cute pictures of McKenzie in the bumbo.

GRANDPA'S CHEESE BARN
After all the moving, we needed a break. We have talked about seeing what Grandpa's Cheese Barn is all about so we finally went. They had fun foods and yummy ice cream. It was a fun break away from unpacking.
