6 MONTHS

Six  months down and three to go until we get to meet this little lady.  I already feel so big and can't imagine getting bigger.  I will though.  Don't you worry.

BABY SHOWER

The ladies in my church threw me a baby shower.  They were so fun and generous in their gifts.  I loved every minute of it and am so thankful for their friendship.  Alex loved the games and helping me open all the gifts.  She was in heaven.  She can't wait for a little sister.

NEW CAR

We bought a new car to fit our growing family.  This was the first car that we have bought in our marriage.  We searched and searched and hope that this one will serve our family well for years.  We wanted an SUV that could handle snow in the winter, back roads for camping, wood and tools for projects, and several more children as they come.

SILLY KIDS

Kids are so silly.  Alex and Shane tend to do opposite silly things: wear a crown upside down, put clothes on inside out, etc.  They always want me to see the silly things they do and laugh at them.  They certainly have a good sense of humor.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY

This St. Patrick's Day was really fun.  We started out with green pancakes, green milk, and green eggs and ham.  I went to a Relief Society activity (aka mom time) in the morning.  In the afternoon Mike and Alex went ice skating for a daddy daughter date.  While they were skating Shane and I had some mom son time running errands.  In the evening Mike went to a hockey game with people from his work.

ALEX ICE SKATING

Alex started ice skating lessons this week.  It was the first time she ever wore skates or walked on ice.  She has played in snow and walked where it was a little slippery but never in a rink.  Needless to say she feel several times.  She was very nervous the whole time.  I was taking a video of her when she fell.  It was funny until I realized she was really hurt.  Luckily she didn't break anything.  Alex was a little discouraged afterwards but never said that she wanted to quit.  I was very proud of her and told her how happy it made me that she kept getting up and trying again.  She has several more weeks of lessons and I'll bet that she will love it by the end.

KRISTIN'S BIRTHDAY

Mike made my birthday very special.  He made a yummy breakfast.  Luckily he was able to get out of his Sunday meetings and spend the day at home.  For dinner he made yummy gyros, complete with homemade flatbread.  The next day we braved the cold and went to the zoo for a few hours.  We mainly stayed in the indoor exhibits.  The kids and I rode the carousel.  It was nice to get out even if it was cold.  I was sore and sick the next couple of days because of it (totally worth it).
