While Nanna and Babba visited we surprised them with a trip to West Virginia. We took social distancing serious and rented a cabin in the middle of nowhere. We spent a few days fishing and enjoying nature. We also celebrated Babba's birthday while we were there. It was nice to get off the grid for a few days.
Mike's parents and sister came to visit for 10 days. While they were here we went to the lake. We also went to the Air Force museum for the first time. We played games and enjoyed the company.
Alex has been begging me for awhile to teach her how to sew. I found these fun sewing kits for beginning sewing. Alex and Shane each picked out one they wanted and we had a fun time doing the projects. Alex picked the mermaid and Shane picked the ice cream cone.
Every summer we participate in the library's summer reading program. Every year they have a drawing for various prizes. Shane won a new bike, helmet, and lock! We were so glad it was Shane because we recently bought Alex a new bike and were thinking of buying Shane a new bike. He was so excited! When we went to pick up the bike, they only had girls bikes, but we got a gift receipt and exchanged it for a different bike.
After reading a book about robots Shane figured out that he could put cups on his ears and look like a robot. Silly boy!
