ALEX'S 5TH BIRTHDAY

I can't believe Alex is 5.  I registered her for kindergarten and it still doesn't seem real.  She was so happy on her birthday.  She chose a fun and colorful breakfast.  We had cupcakes with a few friends.  It snowed 6" that day so we went sledding with more friends.  I wanted to take her to the movies too but I ran out of steam for the day.  I made her a special dinner of her choosing and a pink cake with purple frosting and sprinkles as requested.  The weekend after I took her on a mom-daughter date to a hair salon and we both got hair cuts.  She loved it!  She is such a joy in our lives.
