Before Thanksgiving, our branch had a dinner. It is nice to be able to start doing social things as a branch as restrictions are lifted. This year for Thanksgiving we got together with the Skousens again. We had dinner at their house and pie at our house. We didn't get a chance before Thanksgiving to do the orange turkeys that the kids love so we did them a few days after.

SHANE TURNS 7
It's hard to believe that Shane is already 7! His birthday was on a Sunday but it was a very fun day, especially since the Salts were visiting and got to celebrate with us. Shane picked all the meals and loved all the attention.

SALTS VISIT
The Salts drove down for a quick weekend visit. We went to the zoo to see the zoo lights. We ate at North Market downtown and drove out to Mt Vernon to see Amish country. It was a short but sweet visit.

VACCINE SUPER HEROES
The covid vaccine finally became available for school age children 5 and older. I signed Alex and Shane up as soon as I could to get it. We went to the children's hospital downtown. I took them out of school right before lunch to get it. At the hospital they got capes, snacks, and super hero stickers. Even Maggie got one even though she wasn't old enough to get vaccinated. They loved it! Afterwards I took them to get lunch before taking them back to school.

WACO
For the first time in a very long time I went on a girl's trip with my sisters Sandi and Karen. I took McKenzie, of course, as well. It was McKenzie's first time flying. We went to Waco for a few days. We went to a few local shops and restaurants. We went to the Dr. Pepper museum and Magnolia square. It was fun to get away for a few days and spend some time with my sisters.
