BRIDGET BEING BRIDGET

I had to include a few cute pictures of Bridget being herself and getting into and onto everything.

JARVIS GIRLS VISIT

Daphne and Scarlett Jarvis came to visit us for a week.  The girls had so much fun playing with us and the Skousens.  They built blanket forts, made s'mores, went to Kirtland, and went to a city park with a canopy walk.  One day we went with the Skousens to a park that has a shallow river running through it.  When we got to the river, there were some people there with information on river life, and they had caught some insects and fish from the river.  They were waiting for a group of kids on a field trip to come and teach them, but they took a few minutes to talk to our kids about what they had before the group showed up.

LAUNDRY BABY

Bridget has started to show interest in the laundry basket in Maggie and McKenzie's room because it is low and big enough for her to fit in.  She will push it around the room and climb in.  She throws out the clothes and lies down inside, too.  It's fun to watch her play and learn.

CRAZY CACTUS

A while ago I bought a moon cactus, which is two cacti grafted together.  I didn't realize this until one of the cacti died.  I cut it away and the rest of the cactus has continued to grow.

CAR WASH

Mike recruited the kids to help wash the cars. When he couldn't reach the roof of the suburban, his solution was to get Maggie to do it.  He put her on top with a sponge and she went to work.

4TH OF JULY

The 4th of July has always been one of my favorite holidays and it continues to be one.  Partly because I love the United States of America and partly because of the activities that we do.  I love that we get to go blueberry picking, eat yummy food, and have fun with fireworks.  This year it started raining right as we were finishing up picking blueberries so we got wet as we ran to the car.  Fortunately, the rain stopped later and we were able to shoot off fireworks.

MONKEY SHANE

Shane was so proud of himself that he could climb up the oak tree in our front yard.
